SewerMAX

SewerMax® is a cost-effective sewer pipe system suitable for gravity trunk sewer mains. Manufactured from polypropylene, SewerMax® pipes are highly resistant to chemical attack which can be common in sewerage and industrial wastewater pipelines. The material is also resistant in aggressive ground conditions, such as acid sulphate soils or saline ground waters.

Why is SewerMax® yellow on the inside?

The Yellow inner linner allows for ease of visual inspection during installation commissioning.

Is SewerMax® approved?

SewerMax® has been approved by all of the Major Water Authorities in Australia for gravity sewer application.

How deep can you bury SewerMax®?

SewerMax® pipes provide a higher factor of safety with a minimum stiffness of not less than 10000N/m.m and are classified as SN10. SewerMax® is suitable for cover heights of 2 to 13 meters. A full structure analysis to AS/NZS 2566.1 should be completed to confirm suitability.

Can SewerMax® be used in industrial sewers?

SewerMax® is made of polypropylene and therefore exhibits resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents and is approved for use in industrial sewers.

What sizes are SewerMax® available in?

SewerMax® pipes are manufactured in Diameters: DN225, DN300, DN375, DN450, DN525 and DN600.

How do i join SewerMax® pipes?

SewerMax® pipes and fittings are manufactured with a spigot and socket rubber ring jointing system. Use a standard lubricant together with the rubber ring.

Is SewerMax® ribbed inside?

No, the inner wall is a smooth liner, providing excellent hydraulic performance.

Can you join SewerMax® PVC Sewer pipe?

Yes. Rubber ring joint adaptors are available from Iplex.

How do you repair SewerMax® pipes?

Both BlackMax® and SewerMax® pipes can be easily repaired with purpose designed repair clamps.

What about jetting and root cutters to clean the lines. Can SewerMax® be water jet cleaned?

Yes, provided appropriate methods are used. For complete information, refer to PIPA Guideline, POP205.

Can SewerMax® be used for relining, if so how far can you push a string?

SewerMax® pipe has been successfully used for relining existing corroded pipes and in boring application. The ground conditions and method of installation should be discussed with Iplex to determine its suitability.

Does SewerMax® conform with the relevant standards?

Yes. Both BlackMax® and SewerMax® conforms to the AS/NZS 5065 ‘Polyethylene and Polypropylene Pipes and Fittings for Drainage and Sewerage Applications'. SAI Global also certifies both products to the Australian and New Zealand standard.

Have BlackMax® and SewerMax® been appraised by WSAA?

Yes. Product appraisal 03/05 SewerMax® is regarded as fit for purpose and rated ‘A’ with a life expectancy in excess of 100 years.
